After recent tornado, businesses help where they can.

Not everyone can tarp a roof, that is why  is left to our professionals at Temporary Repair, but companies can find ways to help where they specialize.    The best thing about natural disaster work is seeing first hand people helping people.  It is also a great way for corporations to spread goodwill and really help their customers in time of need.

Temporary Repair just got back from helping victims cover their roofs after the recent F2 tornado in Washington, IL.  We saw some big names there in town spreading the love.   What is the one thing you want to do after a life changing event…. Connect with family.   People all over the country want to know if you are ok, plus you need to call your insurance agent and call in your claim.

No fear AT&T is here.  AT&T rolled into town with mobile charging stations. These stations had charger adapters for most every make and model of cell phones making charging easy.  Better yet, they made it so you don’t have to wait.  The AT&T mobile unit has mini cell phone lockers where you can leave your phone and go shopping at the Kroger’s for groceries, the lot they are conveniently parked in.

Duracell was also present giving away batteries, charging mats and power stations.  It got dark around 4:30, with no power in town, batteries were a hot commodity.

Fortune 500 companies spend tons of money on advertising every year.  What effective adverting being there for people when they really need you, lending a hand, a smile, and a favor on the darkest of days.  This is an opportunity for companies to stop being just names and brands and start putting caring people  behind their products and services.

People ask me how I can do this job where all I see is destruction; I say that is not what I see at all….
