When you have a leaking roof you are
at the mercy of the contractor to feel secure and protected. Many Roofing
Companies and their websites offer advice on everything from using local
roofers to what you should pay for your roof with regards to insurance and
deductibles.
First you want to meet with a few people and get several bids. Remember at the end of the day you get what you pay for so the lowest price is not always the best deal. Like our federal government who has now spent 300 million on a healthcare website that does not work. Maybe if they would have sent alittle more and hired Google, it would not end up costing three times as much in the end.
Ask for references, and more importantly check them. Check BBB, Angies List, Yelp and other review sites. Most people do not do this, you may be surprised at what you find.
**** IF it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
Be wary of companies who offer to “take care of” the insurance deductible. Ethics in business is one of the most important things. How important ethics are to companies trickles down into every decision they make… their employees, their work ethic, and importantly the final product. Remember this company will be at your home around your family, so choose wisely.
Select the company that you are most comfortable with – that offers the services and price that suits YOUR needs.
It is best to put a roof tarp on to stop the leaking roofing. This way you have time to find a the best roofing contractor for your roof replacement. Taking the time and energy to find a good contractor will save you many headaches down the road.
